Theres one set i have that really stands out for winter mink. it may not be the best.but it keeps putting furs on the boards when the ice is thick and the snow is piled up. you will always see mink sign around beaver dams old beaver ponds and active colonys.
Make a conni box to fit a 110 or 120 at least 16 inches long instead of leaving the front open, close it in and make a round hole like a weasel box. the boxes should be weathered[aged ]
now the trick...completely cover the box over with beaver sticks a little brush but mostly sticks, you can gather up your sticks before freeze up and put them to the side one set at the top of the dam and one at the bottom.Don't be cheap on bait a good fist size chunk. now if you catch all your mink in open water this set is not going to work you can't catch whats not there.

Good looking setup, mink love holes and tunnels. In more settled areas no bait or lure in the box may work on mink and the feral cats may not be interested?

I have taken all my 120 conibear traps and flattened the end of the triggers, drilled a small 1/16 hole and put a small wire between them, making a half circle, I make mostly blind sets for mink, I feel it has greatly increased my catch rate. I watched a video one time, it's amazing how many times a mink can squeeze between the conibear trigger without setting off the trap, this wire between the trigger stops this .

I bought a little kit from Helford hide that was the same idea, Just used these litle coils to attach the fine wire to the triggers, I used them on my duke 110mags. So far they have worked great on all sorts of critters

An old beaver house with a coni box in winter will certainly take mink on the beaver house on on the damn. I like the hole in the front of the box white, have to try that.
Folks remember that after the New year the mink go down hill very fast as to fur quality.

I am the primary web developer for SweatyQuid, a freelancer marketplace website after I have grown tired of People Per Hour shutting my accounts and stealing my hard-earnt income. I would be grateful if somebody may give me some guidance on my website: what is lacking and what things you would enhance. Thanks very much guys!
