476=242 bodygrippers+234 legholds. Plus 42 power Rams and about 200 snares. The most sets I have had out at one time was about 225. I have added more equipment since then and "hope" to get alot more out this year.

Yup, it's a few, I cover a huge area and also like to gang set alot. I have 2 registered traplines and trap a fair size area in the farmland near my home.

126 sqare miles of forest wilderness on my registered lines up north and about 110 square miles of farmland to "hopscotch". Not much on the farmland, used to catch alot of beaver until the water disappeared. The water finally came back this year and there are some beaver out there, I am pretty anxious to get started. Gonna try my luck at coons this year, I hope the weather co-operates. Last time I tried coons I got shut down by cold weather the first week. I waited a little too long to start that year. Tons of coyotes on the farmland this year...

There hasn't been much logging in my area in the last 50 years or so. Unfortunately a forest fire went through about 40% of it in 1981. Everything has recovered very well from the fire and it looks like a forest again but, as you can imagine, very thick. Great habitat for lynx, there are alot of them. It looks like there won't be any logging anytime soon(hopefully not in my lifetime). The west line hasn't been trapped in over 25 years. The son of the former owner took over when his father passed away, but didn't trap, then I bought it a few years ago. Only a very small portion of the east line has been trapped in the last 20 years, just a small loop near the cabin. I bought the east line the year before I bought the west line. They are both very good lines but I need to cut alot of new trail and none of the former owners are around for guidance. I am very grateful for the GPS, Mapsource, and topo maps. It has been very interesting and gratifying so far.

Sounds like quite challenge and a lot of work to get the trails mapped out and cut.
