Ah ok, then a cord is 2 pickup loads so our prices are pretty much right on with everyone else's. Noone will buy hedge(Osage Orange) here. We use to cut alot of it for fenceposts and corner posts for our own use and to sell.

Wow! I can't believe no one wants that hedge, that is the main firewood here. Unless the people burning it has a fireplace insert, they say hedge burns too hot and will warp an insert.

Ive been in a spot before that I burnt anything I could. Hedge is way too hot for most setups. Gramps potbelly would glow a dull red with just one piece about 3" thick. We werent allowed to burn pine as kids, they always said if you smelled pine burning get out as your house is on fire. We had a "locust timber" on the home farm that we cut most of our firewood out of. It was about 20 acres and we'd start on one end and the plan was by the time we got to the other the first end would be regrown but we never got to see it happen. Most of the loggers around here keep a list of guys wanting to clean up the tops after theyre done. Good source of firewood there.
