I want to hit 100 rats this year and aming for a 100 coyotes too, other than that I realy just want to catch more of each critter than I did last year.

Like to try to keep 50 coon sets working for a week before freeze up,
I have 16 km of new logging roads for marten & fisher.
Try to set more coyote snares.
Maybe do a big run of beaver.

Work has finaly picked up here too Oldyote but I think this winter I am going to be a poor trapper who is home with his kids most every night and happy, instead of hoe hand dreamin of trappin all winter lol. Mind you last winter in 1 week of pipelinin I made the same as a winter trappin so maybe I will dig a few little lines while I trap lol, nothen big thow till after feb when most stuff closes.

I would like to catch 50 coons and 10 cats, and let the other critters fill in where they may.

mo ,50 coon seems easy enough,but 10 cats on the other hand

I have caught fewer than 30 coons in each of the last 2 years, so 50 is a pretty good jump but I hope to get there anyway. I trapped 5 cats last season, so 10 of them is quite a reach too.

I am going to try for 70 coons this season. That will double last years catch. I have more land this year and will start a month earlier than I did last year. So I think it is doable. Cats, I would be thankful for a couple as well a couple of foxes and a dozen yotes. Yes I have a number for grinners, but it depends on how many Mohawk sends my way this year.

Oh I hate setting goals!!! It puts a pressure on me I don't really like. How about I instead, list what I would be ecstatic to end up with? Yeah, that's better! Coon- 100 muskrat- 50 bobcat-- 15 red fox--3 coyote--none beaver- 15 skunk- 10 possums- none mink- 1 I won't be held to these numbers, but it does reflect on what would make tears roll down my cheeks!!!   ;D |
