This is only my second year of trapping and this year I did some trap prepping, i.e. cleaning, dying, night latching, wax dirt, making colonies etc. Thought I'd share. I have two seperate dye buckets, one for coyote the rest for everything else New traps haha Just woke up CLEARLY New 1.5 cs, added chain to them for when setting rat huts rustay Trying out the DOOKer DP Just another day in paradise. Born 2 Trap haha Still have plenty to do, possibly make some more colony traps, finish dying the rat, coon, mink footholds and then it's show time...in ONE month from today!

It sure is a lot of work and the bigger you get the more work it is. But you will have every thing ready, long before time. and thats good, the way it should be.

I have about 10 dozen you can dye. I have 3 1/2 dozen new ones and cannot seem to get them to rust up a little to dye. I have boiled them twice, took them to the car wash today. Hopefully I finally got all the oil off them. Maybe now they will rust a little and I can get finished with the preparations for the season.

Very nice! What is the difference between your yote dye and everything else dye? It looks like you are really set up with the trapping equipment. I hope the best for you this season.

mohawk, not exactly my idea, but was told to dye coyote traps seperately because of "scent contamination" not sure how accurate that is...but I guess it makes sense! sneaky, I dipped mine in half water and half vinegar a little harsh on the traps but they rust quick and i'm going to have to decline your offer, I still have some spray painting to do...maybe some pink traps are in order I do have a goal this year of 1043 rats. If I don't achieve it, I will not be dissapointed but if I do I'll be one happy girl
