I sure do like to catch them Lake Trout. In my younger years, A group of friends made a trip every other year to the Boundry Waters area to fish. Lake trout is my most favorite fish to catch up North. Catch and Eat one for me Wolf.

Ice thickness is 17 inches so far and with the last snow fall we are getting slush in some spots. And yes H i will eat one for you, but my favorite is smoked trout. The lake is 25 minutes from my home so i will see it a few more times this week...lol

Well trout fishing today and we ended up with 6 nice lakers. 6 to 8 lb range. Still short of our limit but was a nice day. I need a few more as i want to smoke a bunch to take down to the convention in North bay at the end of the month.

Looks like you are doin great on the trout, I havent bean hard water fishin in years, mind you if I had a fancy shak like yours I might get out alittle more offten lol.

Took me a second or 2 to figure out hard water fishing ;D i like that. Smoked 3 trout yesterday, 2- 8 lbs and one 6 lbs. Seems when i smoke trout company come,s a calling. At the end of the day all i had was 2 pieces of fish for my self..lol. Will do another smoke next week as i had promised some trout to some forum members in North Bay when i head down to the convention.
