Are all trappers Cheap? Hmmmm, That is a good questions. I suppose that the ones I know can be better described as thrifty, but not necessarily cheap. I personally like to make as much of the stuff I use as I can. Why? First and formost I am good with my hands and I enjoy making it. I make all my snareas, about 100 a year, I make my- whammies, I even make some of my swivels. I intend to add a heavier base and center swivel about 2 dozen traps before next season. I am already working on the jig to make the U in the flat steel to hold the D ring. I could afford to buy all these items, I just prefer to make them. So did I answer your question?

Are all trappers cheap,,or just the ones i know. With the current fur prices I think you have to be in order to be able to afford to trap.... ;D And I prefer "Frugal". |

Cheap is not the word i'd use to decribe myself.
I try to do all i can myself and it saves money.
But when it comes to quality thats what i buy when its needed.
I am sure theres another word i just can't think of it..

well being new to trapping i can certainly say that this year i was not cheap.........(wife keeps reminding me).............next year however i will do everything in my power to keep the expenses down.  |
