For those of you with gray in your hair i'm sure you can remember good fur prices and actually making some good money on the line. Its a hard bug to shake and its not the money that keeps us going. There are a lot of older trappers that give it up i guess they didn't catch the bug or found a way to get rid of it. The certifed trap law and the cost of these new traps make it almost impossible for the younger generation to get started. Here we have hardly any trappers left and the few there are don't trap beaver anymore with the current prices no wonder. As a result of the low beaver harvest we are getting alot of new colonies springing up everywhere if it keeps up they will become over populated and maybe get wiped out. Mother nature can not balance the animal population alone as many believe. We need hunters & trappers to keep nature in balance. And we need a new generation. So what i'm saying is,, take a kid out hunting fishing trapping teach them what you learned,,you will be glad you did. Thanks for your time,/

Agree 100% teach or take a kid trapping. On the other hand mother nature knows best. Too much animals she goes to work and to little she does nothing, thats her way.But helping her from time to time keep a well balanced population is a good thing.

I agree, we kinda messed up ma natures balance so now it is up to us to help her maintain it, and if we dont she does it the most efficent way she can and it isnt as humane as a 330 behind the ears, that is for sure.

We need to help balance nature and get more youth involved.
