In my opinion not practical at all. What would it cost to manufacture a trap at that size and sell it for weasel. The 120 marten trap will harvest weasel that visit the box, but the rat trap i think is the best solution for taking weasel. Weasel are not money makers and you can catch them in just about everything. Demand has to be there for a good supply to be made. I can,t see people paying 10 or 12 bucks for a body grip trap to catch a weasel. Sorry just my opinion. The rat or big mouse trap seems to be the answer.

[quote author=wolf1199 . The 120 marten trap will harvest weasel that visit the box, Iam sure you are aware of how many times a weasel can pass through a 120 with out getting caught. So for all the trappers who don't have marten to trap, why use a 120. The rat trap is great, but first you have to harvest every mouse & vole in the area.
Not so long ago you made a post on how to use the rat trap for weasel. Because it was all new to you .So your not speaking from experience. I think a small weasel trap would be a great idea if the price suited. It would be a great tool, for the big weasel trappers. Just my opinion.

Thanks Harold, I but they would work on weasels just fine but I am already set up with rat traps and boxes, but I think they will be deadly on squirrels were they make tunnels in the snow. might be good for rats in den entrences too. Thanks again, and I returned your pm too.

If it doesnt retail for less than $4 it would be hard to convince trappers to trade in their rat traps I would think.

Maxwell not from experience of trapping weasel with rat traps, that is new to me. But from looking at all the pics people have posted of their great catches using the rat trap and the box. Seems to be a very good and cheap system that works well. I was thinking more in terms of manufacturing cost and selling. Like gth said if it,s over 4 bucks you might be hard pressed to get trappers to buy it. Nothing wrong with your opinion
