What sets work for you,,what sets puts fur on your boards time after time. Do you catch more in traps or snares.

Because of the snow we get I snare alot more than I trap, but I am startin to use more traps in the snow now. I catch the magority of my foot caught coyotes in plain old dirt hole sets, I have caught a few in sent posts to but most are in dirt holes.

We don't have the population of coyotes compared to some other places. but the few i do get are all from bait sites set up with snares.

I use both traps and snares. I love the dirt hole. It seems to work well for me. As far as snares go, I set and leave them alone. I try to set where I can see them from a distance with Binoculars and never appraoch the snare unless it is disturbed somehow or I make a catch

Ram power snares over baits is what I use. I plan on using a few foot holds this season to show my boys something diffrent. And to see if I can still catch them ,it is alot harder ,I think.
