Who modifies there coyote traps? What do you mod on them an what kind of traps do you mod? What is your favrite mod or at least the one you do to every trap regardless of brand?

The first thing I change on my coyote traps is the chains, I still have a few with that double link chain but I am slowly gettin rid of all that stuff and going to #2 deck chain. The other main things I change are I switch to crunch proof swivels, and center swivel the chain. On drags the coyotes have done thier best to eat some duke swivels and the swivel didn't fair to well. I also like to bend up the jaw tips or wield a little bubble on them so they don't get pulled back threw the frame.

Yep Fuzz and I see eye to eye there. Watch those factory chains. 3' minimum chain on most for drag sets. Minimum 3 swivels, 4 or 5 on some. On a 3' chain one at the trap, one midway and one at the drag. File or Dremel any burrs off the jaws. We've laminated some also and we are really liking offsets and set more every year.
