Thanks guys! By the way Cam.... Thanks for the archive of the blind sets! I am honored. Not much to report, we have caught 2 more rats (at my work place), in 330's none-the-less. One only by the tail and drowned, and one in the middle. Also, picked up a scraggly looking 'possum in a cat set this morning. We released him. VERY inclement weather today and is forcasted for tommorow. Wind chills dipping to -12 F., dern cold for around here. Later!

Once this weather stabilizes a little for a spell, we will make some catches. I saw fox tracks around one of my new sets this morning. He never got closer that 2 feet to the trap, He is leary of something, not sure what. I left it alone and took a wait and see attitude.

Speaking of cold nasty weather H.......... I got your LDC lure made up this evening. I have it in an ounce glass bottle, if you use all of it, there is more...... nice and SKUNKY!!!!! " I saw fox tracks around one of my new sets this morning. He never got closer that 2 feet to the trap, He is leary of something, not sure what."I have been finding this a common thing. About 2 days, without incident, and he will work your set. Are you using any castor?

Okay, been running a muskrat line. doing fair to midland i guess. Todays catch was worth a pic, so i snapped a shot. Yesterday I started the day off with running the sets for the second day. We went from 9 the day before last, to 3 rats yesterday morn., which is why I move the traps alot. So move them I did. I begin to set up a new pond area that looked to be pretty active. It was cool, because I watched 4 different rats coming in and out of their bank dens under the clear ice, going out, and returning with green food. Of course I wasted little time in getting set, and I quickly added 2 more before I left the pond to go to set up the next one. Same story there at the next pond, seen several working about under the ice and before I left, had one more to double the days take and ended with a total of 6 yesterday. Then upon checking this morning, I finished up with a total of 12 rats. Had one double in a colony trap, which is always welcome! So, after todays catch, it takes us up to 36 rats for the season so far, and still have several ponds left. Love them rats! Took a pic to keep it interesting! here they are. Cat trapping should come into full swing now, by the week end, we will have a respectable line up and going for them as well.

Alrighty then.......Yesterday was slow for us and we wore our spots out I think.....one rat,,, time to move on. So we moved and set up 2 fresh ponds. It all payed off this morning! We ended up with 10 more rats. We also made 9 more sets on fresh waters. Should have a decent catch tomorrow. New total....47. Still no cat sets in..... rats are distracting me!!!!!!
