Well I snared 1 coyote yesterday and had iether a fox or coyote today but some trespasser on a horse stole my catch, trap included. It was on private land but that doesnt seam to bother some people, they better hope I never catch them in there, and they realy better hope the land owner don't iether cause he was way madder than I was.

Something you can do, is take a scale (ruler) and lay it beside the track and take a photo with the camera at a perpendicular angle to the track. Every horse can be identified by the shape of their hoof, especially if it has shoes on. I can identify all 7 of my horses simply by their footprints and usually tell you which foot made the track. Something else I thought of, you will most likely find that hosre within five miles of where the trap was stolen. Most folks never ride more than a couple of hours, especially if it is cold or there is snow on the ground. I am curious, did they dispatch the critter there at the set? Good Luck

It doesnt look like they shot it so it probly got a wack befor they loaded it up, we followed the tracks till they went into a field that has other hourses runnin loose in it and we lost them there. I have a few of the nabors on the hunt for them, more ears listnen is good cause thieves and never smart enough to keep thier mouths shut. They better hope I never catch them stealin from me, and worse yet they better hope the farmer who's land I was trappin on never catches them, he was way madder than me.

Well I snared 1 coyote today and all my traps were right were I had left them so all in all it was a great day ;D SS the trap was a #3 montana fully modded. I have all the nabores keepin and eye and ear out for my trap, the game warden phoned me tonight and we had a great talk, ifen I ever find out who it was, sounds like they will nead some realy good exuses to keep from gettin a couple charges layed on them, was great to deal with a warden who genuinely cared about inforcin the rules and standin up for trappers. He didnt now much about trappin but was sure on our side.
