I received a Facebook message from Killer Corr's Wife:
"Hello, I am a friend and neighbor of Sabrina and Garnet (fuzz) Gautron.
Last night they lost their home in a fire and they are presently in the process of basically figuring out what to do at this point and without internet access for the time being.
They are staying in a holiday trailer in their yard and everyone is safe and healthy. They asked me to send you a message to let you know that you won't be hearing from them for a little while and why. If you have any other questions or messages you'd like to relay, I'd be happy to pass them along for you. (Diane Corr on Facebook)"
I have fuzz's phone number and mailing address if any of you want to PM and get it. I spoke with fuzz and his wife earlier today for a short conversation before I lost signal. Swamp Rat

I now have the phone number and address. I just talked to Swamp Rat myself. He Talked to Fuzz for a bit today. They lost everything they owned and were without insurance. Their immediate needs are being taken care of, Ie shelter and clothing. Fuzz told Swamp Rat that he would rebuild in the spring. Faulty wiring is suspected at this time.

Garnet [fuzz269] has been a good friend and outstanding member to this site so we are going to do something to help him out,

Fuzz realy helped us out a couple of winters back, with his help I was able to pay a couple of bills when there was nothing left to pay them. It was a total act of kindness from a total stranger[ at the time] . I dropped him a line last night and he said the neighbors and trappers association have all pulled togther in this time of need. I don't have any idea's on what we can do as a group but I sure will partake in what you come up with!

Thats terrible news.
Count me in for what ever is decided on.
Someone should post this over at the CNTA site. He was active on there also and I'm sure guy would like to know and help if they can.

how about we all as members chip in $25.00 or more for a donation to send to fuzz and the family. I will ask our trapper council members on Sunday for a donation to help out a fellow trapper. They will need to replace all of their lost clothing ASAP.?

gth you can post this link on another forum if you wish.
Maybe we could auction off some items or donate 1 or more of our furs this season.
I could get bigmac5 to except donations,set up a page for fuzz and record all donations sent in.
Anything this site can do to help just ask,

Without internet access I guess sending and Email Money transfer to Fuzz is not going to work............It would be the fastest way to get him help.

One has been set up at the North Peace Savings and Credit Union in Fort St. John, BC acc# 872879, In Trust for Garnet & Sabrina Gautron.We're accepting clothing and household donations for them in the meantime as they have no storage for the the time being.
We hope to equipment arranged to begin cleaning up the debris by this weekend.
