You sure picked 3 nice honey holes to snare your yotes. The 2 bad yotes did they have mange?. You must have many coyotes out there in a small area.

I call it cow sh... diesease. They have hardley any hair between the shoulders and when they got it bad they get a almost wet look to them and they smell like cow crap. I live near where two large valleys meet and a finger from a long string of alkalie lakes run in. In the past I could take 120 plus out for three years in a row and still have people asking if I was going to do something about the coyotes. I moved here six years ago and I was probaly throwing out 40 percent because of disease (mange and cow poop). They are alot better now but I know from the past that I will be getting more ugly one now. My fun will be over soon any ways, My welding truck will be out of the shop and I will have to find something in a camp to finish the winter. O and I actually have six baits out, I only check three at a time. the farthest one would not be 5 miles away.

I checked the other three baits today and caught 4 nice yotes. No broken snares but sure could have been. We had crazy winds the last couple days and a couple rams had blow over, or the snow they were set on melted .Either way they were way out of wack and no good woould have come from them.

Unbelievable the yotes you are picking up in those sets. I sure hope those farmers out there appreciate what you are doing for them. I can't even imagine what it would be like if you had a few more sets out.OOOOOH i can see many hours of skinning for you bud.

Funny story is at the bait where me and the boy called in the yotes i was talking to the farmer there yesterday And he said that back when we had snow he had and a couple buddies come out on snow machines and killed 17 in two days! That might be a bit of a stretch but I am sure they pilled pilled up some. It is illegal as hell and I don't participate in it but back in the coyote hay day (the late 70's early 80's) when priced were high there were lots of people who did it and pilled up some big numbers. You could even get a permit in some R.M. And ya it does sound a little unbelievable with out photo's I promise I will take a photo or two and give Photo bucket one more try. Maybe a pic of the pile of "empties" before I haul them away! Lol . Well no trapping for me today. Off to a hockey turnyiment. Better get out and flip some dogs over .

Checked three baits today and caught two yotes and one broken snare. We realy need some winter here! No snow, +10 ! All my places really do not look good. Need a skiff of snow to freshen things up a bit. Yes white I use a hand winch for my skinning chores.

It wasn't that long ago that If I caught a yote in a season it was a success full season.
