is getting it done!! Looks like we will be having a wolf hunting/trapping season next year. It appears it will be a $38.00/$50.00 wolf tag.
I also sent for a application to be a what they call a certified gray wolf controller.
They want to know,
How many traps/snares are set at each location.
Incedental catches and Domestics.
Daily reports.
Date of when trapping started and ended.
The only thing that bothers me, is if you catch a domestic and its injured. They want you to bring it to a Vet to get looked at.
WHO pays the Vet bill???

I just would be sure not to catch any domestics then lol, hope you get your wolfers licence.

Congrats on your wolf season and good luck.
After a flyover of Minnesota using Google Earth then a quick Wikipedia search........Minnesota has a population density 25 times higher than N. Ontario. More people = more pets. If I was a Minnesota trapper I would base the success of this inaugural wolf season on staying out of the media with incidental pet catches as much as I would base it on the # of wolves trapped. Cause you know the anit's are just waiting for a reason to shut it off again.
Are you allowed snared in Mn??

gth... Yes we can snare. A person has to be careful about pets. Minn officals have said ,they don't know if there will be any lawsuits as of yet.
