Well since I pulled all but 5 traps a week ago today, I find myself bored, with not a lot to do. So, I have had a bunch of old hand saw blades for over a year that I got to make knives out of. I could not figure out how to cut the knives out until one day I was using my hand grinder and it hit me. I could put a metal cutting saw blade in my table saw and cut them into strip. The table saw cuts them like a hot knife through butter. I am just experimenting right now, but I have cut out, shaped and sharpend 4 knife blades and 2 ulu's so far. The knives sharpen up good, but not sure how well the sharpness will last. AS you can see they are a little rusty, so I am gonna take the rust off and try some cold gun blue and see what that does for them. Just something to do...
