While thinking about this hide puller, it came to me to have the controller as a foot pedal on the ground. Does anyone have any idea as to what type of push button switches I would need and how to wire. If you can help, I will need a diagram. The hand held controller has two buttons. There are two wires coming into the unit and two going out. I took the cover off, there are 8 wiring positions on the back of the switch (1 unit 2 buttons), but I cannot tell anything else. There must be some other internal connections. Thanks for any help.

I think you could rig up a rocker pedal on your existing control.

I have thought of that white, but the casing on the existing control is plastic. I am afraid that it would not take the abuse...

I know you could wire a foot control for the power end with one made for a meat grinder I bought one on line for the fellow I sell my fur too for his electric skinner. He still had to get a fellow to rig up a light switch for the up and down so both hands were left free. He has used that foot switch for at least four years now and it has probaly done a couple thousand coyotes. If you want to pm me I mite be able to dig up the address

If you made a full metal case around your plastic control i am 99% sure it would work.

White, the button are so close together that I am not convinced I could make it work even with a metal case around it. It is a very good odea though. Out of total frustration, I put it back together today using the hand held control that came with it. I am still going to talk to an electrician tomorrow to see what he says.
