I have painted some and used formula 1 on some and even log wood dye, I think the paint works the best but the F1 is a close second. I use the F1 more cause of how fast and eazy it is thow. I have even painted and waxed coyote and wolf traps and they worked no problem at all. I think the trick is to let them air out good, but on body grippers I don't think it maters as much.

I have painted traps for years,,could never get the paint to stick good. Last year i tried something different I heated up the traps,,and sprayed them with a heat paint seems to be sticking a lot better.
