Went out today to a slough along the hiway that you could se about 20 push ups on now that spring has finally arrived. Not all were still active but did managed to get out a few sets It is 12 km from the hose so I think I will check them twice a day. Be nice to fill in time between beaver checks Lord knows I am not that busy skinning the beavers we catch. Lol  |

Well first check yield 5 ,pretty happy with that. Several traps were fouled as usuall dumb rat luck in push ups. Did a little re adjustments and made sure to really cover everything good with lots of snow so no one freezes tonight. Calling for -6 so they should be fine.  |

Evening check was a bit hecktik with three helpers We got seven. There was some real excitement when I pulled out a live one!  |

Only got to do one afternoon check on the rats. We had six. Also check one beaver house that is out that direction. Finally caught one out of this hous in a run. He was a battle scared old vet the has a huge shaved spot on his stomach and around his tail.  |

Did a rat later rat check today because I knew I couldn't go this evening we got 7. Sorry no catch pics but one of Seb. He couldn't wait for me to rebuild the push ups he was running ahead yelling back play by play.  |

7 rats today. Went and looked at 7 beaver houses but I think they will have to wait till fall Water is starting to flow down the creek way to much snow for a quad and not enough for a sled. Lol. Strange year.
