Ever caught one of these  This little fella is called a least weasel, that is a 22 lr for size comparison. I have 2 spots on my line were I caught these this past season. I was sellin some on an Amarican taxidermy site so I put them next to a us bill for comparison.  Here is one on a rat trap with some other critters  |

I have caught some tiny weasels to but i don't remember if the tails were all white or if they had the black spot.

Ya I have caught some small ones too and thats what I thought these were too, until I noticed no black tip. I brought one to a trappers assoc, meetin and some of the other fellas there had sean them befor and clued me into what I realy had caught. Some of them get a few black hairs on the tail but not a lot. If any one is intrested in gettin one mounted I still have a couple that I would sell or trade.

We barely have any in Kansas. Only a very small location in the north central part of the State. Not very common even there. I was reading on them some time ago and it seems like they said they were 2 or 3 oz. as adults! Very tiny and pretty! Wish I could get one down here with out it spoiling, maybe when the weather cools a bit? P.M. me with a price please? I'll bet there is a import/export fee huh? |

Was wundering if the least weasel has any value? Me and the boys caught one today on our weasel line and was wundering what to do with it.

I am sure it will sell with the small hides, could be worth alot more to a taxidermist or some one who wants one mounted.
