The first cabin i ever built was of logs.
I didn't peel the logs or preserve them and it rotted to pieces in about 2 or 3 years,
What would you like to know???

9 x 15 inside,,I do have a pic somewhere but that was a long time ago ,,way before digital cameras,way before i had a drivers licence,
if i come across it i will copie and post it.

Got a pretty good book about building them. Shacks, Shanties, and Shealters (or something like that). It's at home, and I at the base, so I can't check right now.

We've played around and built a few, nothing spectacular for certain. We built several whiskey shacks as kids. Most were about 8x8 few were just big enough to lay down in.
