Old trap or not

Looks to be an old rat or mouse trap depending on size. I'd say old unless someone purposely aged it(Ive seen it done before and is rather common on some auctions sites). Is there a story behind it? Where'd you get it?

All i know they [2] were found in an old house thats being tore down,

Thanks to Tom from Montreal Quebec Canada who has a trap the same,
This trap was made in canada for Centro Tool Company of Pennsylvania U.S.A around 1950.

It's not very clear at this size!!!!, sorry, it is about the best my little cheap camera will do. I have a better one that does close pics better ,but I can't get the charger to charge it..... need to figure that out.
