you all probably know this already and I posted this on another thread, but I felt I should put it here to.
Very easy, get water on top of the ice to be able to look thru the ice like it isn't even there. It will not work on milky or clouded ice, that needs chopped out and left to re-freeze over night during a calm night. Then you can use the water trick to check your trap without chopping thru. I use this mainly on still water like ponds and such, don't know if it will work on moving water?
