Since BWM is postin all his secret recipys I thought I would share a realy simple but very efective bait for fox/coyote/wolf with ya.
This was taught to me buy a good friend in Alberta, Thanks Trappintime. You take moose or deer (what ever kind of road kill you fine first) and cut it up into cubes, let it taint to what ever leval of stink you want, from slightly roghten to gag a maggot. Once your meat is at the level of nasty you want, ad sodium bensinate, stire it up. It takes a few days to fully stop the tainting. This bait is cheep, and very simple to make and works great on coyotes and fox. I have not yet caught a wolf on it but one day ;D

Thats just too cool. We have a few but they act like overgrown yotes for the most part and are federaly protected I gather. Ever try a drag bait set? Gramps used it to good avail beginning of the last century. Do snares work for wolves? I could think of several scenario's the drag bait set would be even deadlier if a guy could use snares.

Snares are suposed to be the best and eazest way to catch them but so far the only one I have caught was in a mb 750. I have never tryed a drag bait set but I did read a story about a fella in Alaska draggin a beaver carcuss behind his slead to get wolvriens to come to his sets, could work for wolfs to.
