Was wundering about using cedar shingles to make them? I made a half dozen today with the boys and can't see why they wont be fine? A little bit slim at the nose but at least I will be able to et a push pin into them . Asked a buddy who works in the hardware store and they can't even get bass wood in. I am not sure that he beleives me there is such a thing. Cedar is just about as rare they call it "Golden Board" for anything that is half good. Just looking for some feed back and what other guys use for weasels?

I found a place down south that makes ceader fence panels, you can but thier skrap for cheep, lots of people buy it for kindlen and fire wood. I just run it threw the planer till it is as thick as I want then cut out and sand. I have made some from pine to and they worked.

Wow. thanks for the offer White 316! Maklin is only 30 minutes away. But I was still wondering if the taper to my shingle boards is going to cause trouble at the grading table? If I had a access to a planer it would solve all my forming board dilema's . The only one that I know of is at the High school. I guess I will see what everyones response is before I take you up on your offer.
