I do, and I usually use it for an ldc lure for cats and k9s. I got .50 for a skunk hide I sent to NAFA this past auction, had my wife proceeded with the divorce I would have been in the hole pretty quick. Kind of figures the best part of a skunk comes from underneath the tail. I don't actively trap them but they seem to find my sets for bobcat anyway. So I use a syringe to suck the essence out. Try explaining that to the local pharmacist! I went to the pharmacy counter at walmart last fall and asked if they sold syringes, the pharmacist asked "what are you using it for?" Says I: "weii, I am a trapper and I use them to suck the stink oil out of the skunks I catch" Says he: "I am not really sure what you would need to do that." Says I: "I will need a subcutaneous needle but with a pretty big bore so it doesn't get plugged up" Says he: "here is 2 different sized needles with a 3 cc syringe, try them out and see which one works best" Says I: "thanks, what do I owe you" Says he: "just take 'em" I think he just wanted to get rid of me! I have never met a pharmacist before that would rather talk to an IV drug user!

My insulin syringes work good. We save all of the essence we can and use some ourselves and sell the rest. Furbuyer bought 2 4oz bottles that we had padded and out of reach on a shelf. We figured we got right at $20/oz if I remember right but a buddy got $30/oz for his. Some supply houses buy it outright and do some bartering for it uncut. New dispatch method we started using right at the tailend of our season last year really worked great. We had one that "sprayed" out of about 20. Wear protective gear, glass's, apron, gloves etc when skinning skunks or draining them.

When pulling the skunk essence, use a 16 ga needle. You can get them (at least here) at any farm supply store that sells antibotics for cattle, sheep, pigs, horses etc. There is no hassel buying them at the farm supply stores.

From our experience its all in the dispatch. If they spray you might get a few drops. Best thing we've found is a clean glass jar or bottle with a balloon stretched over the mouth for holding it. Push the syringe thru the balloon and slowly empty it. Even if the glands are empty they can be removed and used in bait/lure.

Wear protective/old clothing, rubber gloves and goggles or a face shield and you'll be fine. After learning the hard way and now using my head Ive never got a drop on me. Just a little tip when used in lures or baits a little dab will do ya. 2-5 drops max in 1oz of lure for us. We've tried more but found we were just wasting the other ingredients.
