Snares are very effective for harvesting raccoons either set blind in trail sets,or at baited sets.

Never tried a ram of any size,snared hundreds with free hangers.

Here is one I snared, intended to snare a bobcat. 8" loop, 8" high, no idea. Hip snared of course, DANGIT! Here is a shocker! ;D
