We have a season but Ive never caught one or even seen sign of one. Few times people said they had one eating chickens etc it turned out to be a mink etc. I'd love to run a line for them. Are all of those weasels in that one picture or different kinds and color stages? Gramps trapped them north and northeast of here. Guess they were a valuable fur at one time.

I have a question for the weasel trappers. I caught a few when I was young in boxes and in old wood piles and the such, anyways I was watching a show quite a while back called Hawaii's most unwanted and they had goverment trappers for weasels and they used boxes ,but theres were longer and had a foot hold on each end. Why not do the same with rat traps? The trapper on there said that they often caught doubles. Mind you they only checked there line onca a month i think if I remember correct. Just thought I would ask becauce I was looking for a project to do with my 6 year old and thought of making them double bangers.

There is fella who travels abound the western half of the country sellin pelting boards and such (Gords supplies) , and he has double ended weasel boxes, seam like a good idea just never tryed it.

I never found the population a weasel good enough to warrent
a double ended box maybe in some areas,but just the same it wouldn't hurt to try some.
