There are some great ones out there and there are some you never hear much about, so lets talk about all of them lol. Has any one ever tryed the Bridger #5 alaskan? Or what about the Live Stock Protection traps out of texas? What do you like or dislike? Whats your favrite?

I took a wolf trappin course last summer and had to set one of them #9 beasts and make a set with it, they are a BIG trap. When bedding them and packin the dirt around the pan it is more than a little un nerving lookin at the size of them big jaws that you got your hand in, not to menchan remembering how hard you had to push down on the leavers to set it. The #9 brawn is a monster, I wish I had a dozz. lol

Wish we could trap the ones here. Gramps used no.4 and bigger here and out west. I still have some of his old factory ones and his handmade ones. Ive got one he built that looks like a small bear trap, 11" jawspread DLS. Ive seen some of the pictures of the new wolf traps and they do look awesome.

Catman needs them #9's for his bobcats! ;D That 32 pounder had paws like mule hooves. That is the only reason I caught him.... he was just pickin' em up, and slamin' em down..... like a good steady mule! The finesse' cat got nailed by the boy in a dirt hole!

That rudy trap looks like a good one but there is no dealers out here and I would like to take a good look at it befor I invest my cash in it. I hear they are testin it for certifacation this winter.

maybe I am mistaken but I thought this winter they were going to try to certify the rudy,mb750, one of the live stock protection brand and 2 others I belive, I think the 2 others were a bridger #5 alaskin and the #9 brawn, but I am not for sure on that. I will look but I thought it was Mr Gibb who posted about the testin on another site. I will send him a pm here to, maybe he has better info than my memory lol.

The rudy red wolf is not certified as of yet,but it is in testing. The trap has been modified since its creation[making it stronger]
