Made some colonies a few weeks back and took some pictures Length and width are a personal preferance because this is what decides how big or small you want your colony trap. Mine turn out to be 24x6x5 1X2 14g wire. $27.00 @ Tractor Supply These are the tools I used What the wire looks like before its bent & the two doors. Length Width I flatten it out by using a hammer and also bending it using my hands Bend it over a corner, I do 6 rectangles for the first bend pound pound pound and then 5 for the second bend After the first two bends The last bend I used a piece of wood as my corner edge Stabilize it Then form it a little Line up the "spikes" with the edge Cut off one of the edge "spikes" Curl them around tightly using the pliers picture or the needle nose pliers One of the doors, bend the tips. And then bend the middle two out ward, this will prevent the door from sliding side to side. Tighten the door onto the cage Then throw on a trap tag...and tada! All Finished!

Nice and informative post and pictures. Theyre illegal here but we have used them in other states. Handy trap to have in your arsenal.
