I built a deadfall last year, and ran it for several weeks. We caught several 'possums in it. We are going to change it over from a blind type set, to a baited pen style this year, and try and up the possum numbers! 
he he he!. I get a charge out of catching any fur in it, but to start nailing coons would be over the top! 
Anybody else ever play with one of these? I know many parts of the States they are illegal, but I don't know about Canada.
If anyone wants to play with one but they are illegal for fur in your area, just make a miniture and set it for mice or small rodents!
