Is there a way to check if a coon is prime with out fleshing it.

robocop,,,scrape a little spot in the center of the back if its black and the hair roots are showing its not prime,,very hard to flesh at this stage as you lift the hair roots.

judd hit it on the nose for the best way. After a while, you can look at a coons fur and see if it is flat with little or no underfur, or fuzzy looking, the fur just don't feel right, or especially dark for your area and almost black, also a sow that is showing large tits are almost always blue. As you come acrossed more un-prime coons, you will develop an eye for those warning signs.

Here we have a small time frame to trap coon before freeze up But some coon prime up faster than others[ different areas ] Keep that in mind,,,,, And there is nothing any better that fleshing a fully prime coon.
