Raccoon season opened yesterday so i desided to make a few sets,to check fur quality.
I don't want to put out a bunch of sets if the fur is not prime.
I also need bait for my marten & fisher sets but i can wait a while longer.
A week can make a big difference in fur primeness.

 Heres the first catch of the season my new camo bucket fitted with a 220.  First snared coon of the season perfect neck catch the way i like it. I had 5 sets out and got 2 coon,,I sprung the traps & snares and will wait a few days,,Before i try again. |

   The big one still has a ways to go yet And i sure missed skinning & fleshing coon,,I am a little slow & rusty yet but that will change soon. |

I have rights to 2 standing grain fields that are crawling with coon
How ever they might be cut before the coons prime.
