Same buckets i pick up at Safeways supermarket, i just love those buckets for hauling my marten bait around on the bike. Square buckets pack a lot nicer then round one,s on the bike.

Got to try out my new winch with a fresh coon. I need to weld wider grips on the vice-grips. Other than that it worked good.

Glad the winch worked well for you. Did it seem to save time and muscle strain for you? I also noticed that you cut the front feet off, did that help?

As for being the first 1 i ever did with a winch i went a little slower than normal, but i let the winch do all the pulling and i like it. I always cut the front legs off its the first thing i do.

This is the dog proof trap i have been working on. What makes it dog proof is it has a pull trigger not a push. Every piece i made except the tube. I have all the jigs made,,to make every piece the same. Thats what takes all the time,,saves a lot of money making them your self.

Here are the swivels i'm making that i will use on these dog proof raccoon traps. I like to make my own stuff.

I am not trying to discourage you, but I have read where several folks have lost traps because the heads popped off the nail. If I were you, I might drive a couple in a board and then pull them out to see how good they are. Good Luck
