No catman if you had a special or favorite set you would like to share or just some random pictures they would be posted here. If a member was looking for cat trapping information instead of having to look all through the land trapping section they would just look here.just trying to make it easier for everyone.

Well our cat (LYNX) season starts in about a week from now so I will get this topic going with my favorite set which is a walk thru brush cubby. What I look for is a tight group of trees in a location along an old road or skidd trail with a reasonable sighting distance from 2 or more directions. I then brush in voids as necessary and place a snare at each end and a squirrel with lure on it hanging down from a limb or cross branch placed in the center of the walk thru cubby. The squirrel will be centered in the line of sight between the two end snares. Additional snares are placed in tight areas around the sets as cats often circle the area. For an attractor I just use a 4X6 inch piece of cardboard, brown on one side and white on the other which contrast well with the snow and dark green of the timber.

Thanks for posting the pic of the set and the description that goes along with. Easy to understand. Looks good, I may give that a whirl on Bobcats in December

Yay the bigfeet with fur all over (snowshoes) are for survival in deep snow conditions which we have not had for about 10 years or more.
