Deadwolf, before I retired I had the occasion to frequently use Metal Detectors. The one I used was a Garrett. After using it, I bought 3 more and put one in every vehicle in my Unit. They are made in Garland, TX and a quality unit. They are not cheap though. I found with metal detectors over the years, that you get what you pay for. Good Luck in your research

Thanks guys. I could not find a trap in the new snowfall we had, so i had to borrow a metal detector to find it. It worked great. Had it found in about 2 minutes. It also would be interesting to do a little treasure hunting too.

My brother uses one quite a bit. I know nothing about them, except that he found a very old coin in great shape in my yard with one a few years back!
