Has anyone tried to mod bodygrippers by bending the jaw edge inward? I tried long time ago but had trouble keeping the jaws in sync-they didn't close perfectly square. I modded a few by welding a couple extra rods to the jaw just like sauvageau does. There was an article in an old OTA magazine with a picture but it was a small pic. Looked like they had a piece of angle iron in a vice to keep them square. Has anyone made a jig to do this?

You can turn a vic into a LDL mag,Welding the bars on. But you can't bend the jaws, because the spring loops are to small If you were to bend the jaws,,you would have to replace the springs,,with belisle or ldl.

The slightest bend the wrong way on a conni frame will screw the whole trap up.

The only thing I have ever done on any body grip is what I learned from Mohawk. Just spot welded on each side of the trigger and again on the dog to keep them from going on around the jows on my cheap lil dukes! I plan to do them all that way by next season. Digging the triggers off the corners takes to much time, and are a huge pain in the neck.
