I must admit I'm not a great beaver trapper mainly I don't have much of a chance to trap the critters, I recently got the privlage to trap a few on a friends regestered line and I wondering any of you could share some of your secerts on how you go about setting 330's on land, catching people's dogs and other pets won't be a problem because it's along ways from nowhere. thanks!

This is what I have done in a few places were I had to catch them on land, I found thier skid trail that they were usin to get the tree parts back to the river and where the trail got narrowed down I places a 330 and used sticks to suport it and fence it in alittle. Then I used some grass that was there and hid the top of the trap to kinda make a tunnel, next mornin I had 3 beavers. You can do the same with a little caster behind the trap too.

Thanks Fuzz, sounds staight foward, the ponds are frozen somewhat now but not good enough to walk on so peraphs to attract them on shore a little castor would do the trick.
Do I put the castor on bait/birch or it's not nessarey?
