In the 120 size I like the ldl better, but the belisle has way better saftys, if we are talkin 330's it is belisle all the way, mostly cause the saftys are so good and the compleat closure of the trap.

Both good, top of the trap lines IMO, for the 120's you find if switching to belisle they are a little higher and you would need at least 6 1/4 in height if using them in a box, if i was starting out new it'll be all belisle for me.

Both are excellent traps but, I prefer the Belisle for thier safety hooks.

They are both excellent, i like the design feature of the safety on the belisle but i do prefer the ldl over all. The 330 ldl mags also close tight, no space.If your planning to buy a few dozen at a time the belisle will save you some money over the ldl.

My choice would be LDL but mags only.

What is it about the LDL'd that you guys like that make it more desireable than the belisle.

What is it about the LDL'd that you guys like that make it more desirable than the LDL. Just my opinion mind you but i like the chain on the trap over the cable which is on the belisle which has had some problems of fisher breaking the ferrule crimp around these parts and most of all i like how the ldl is made of better quality steel and put together I just wish ldl would have the same safeties as the belisle.Gth if you ever get the chance pick up a box of 1 dozen 120 or 330 conibears and you will see the difference in weight alone between ldl and belisle. They are both excellent traps and i do not know why the 120 ldl did not pass the test for fisher but i catch most of my fisher in marten boxes with the ldl magnum and there is nothing to discuss. Everyone has their favorite traps and if you like what your using stick with them. |

I agree if LDL could put belisle saftys on thier traps they would have the perfict 120

LDL seems to be made a bit heavier. I weight both LDL mag and super x belisle and your right, the ldl is 522g and the belisle 498g. |
