My new apprentice

A friend of my sons is home from university and she is the one that bought my last wolf. She is also very interested in trapping and wants to learn. Since i had a few small beaver that were bitten and did not know what i was going to do with them i let her flesh one and put on the board.I showed her how to flesh the beaver and she took over just past the front legs.









I then showed her how to put the beaver on the board, i did one side ,she did the other







She did very very well and caught on just like that, a natural i'm thinking. She wanted to skin some other fur but i have none. Next year she wants to accompany me on the line and try and catch a wolf. Nice to see young women taking an interest in fur trapping instead of fur bashing.

Great pix Wolf and good on you for teachin that young lady how to put up fur. That is a great thing for a colage kid to learn, now when they start tryin to paint us trappers black in one thier classes she will know better and probly tell them so too. Congrats.
