I have bean havin a hard time with lynx this year (so many rabbits the lynx are fat and lazy) so I have bean tryin difrent sets for them. I tryed the block set and some baited cubbys and 330's with lure bags on the triggers. They just walked right by them all So I tryd a combination of a few and it worked out nicely. First thing I do is on the side of my skidoo trail I stop and kick a pile of snow up into a mound, go all the way around the mound so the mound it the highest piont, and it also adds eye apeal. Then take your trap and bed it nice and solid ontop of the mound, throw your graple into the bush behind the mound. I like to pre hook the grapple in some willow or brush just so the cat dont go to far. Now I forgot to menchan to make your snow mound under an over hangin branch or stick. Now I use fishin line to suspent a bird wing or a flyin squirrel or any kind of atracter right above your trap, about 2 to 3 feet above it. you dont have to cover the trap or anything, this set is realy fast to put up and you dont nead to bring much with ya to make it. I also dipped the end of the wing into some caster based lynx lure I made just to give it alittle smell too. Next time I run the line I will get a pix of it to help show what I am tryin to say ;D ;D

I usually make a couple dozen of those snow mound sets every year and pick up a few lynx with them. When the cats are well fed and being stubborn, things can be very frustrating. One thing I found that cats have a hard time resisting is a beaver tail smothered in castor and beaver oil from the sacs, hang the tail or nail it to a tree.
The cats will get easier to convince in about 2 or 3 weeks. I find them to be easiest to catch in December and then again in February. Our season closes on Feb 28 and most of the action is around that time.
