To go along with nightriders post, what animal did you trap first? ? My first was beaver, althow I had snare bunnys and used some 1.5 ls on barn rats and squirrels, but they weren't for the fure so I don't think they count.

A skunk. I was probably about 12 and had a short lived interest in trapping. My ol' man had a cage trap so I shot a starling and put it in the cage trap next to a brushpile. The result would partially explain the 30 year gap in my trapping career.

Me too! When she found out I was getting into trapping she just kind of rolled her eyes. I bet she is glad I don't live there anymore! However, my wife wants to move in with her.
