I only have 1 square one and 12 round ones in difrent sizes. I dont know if thier is one best size, I like a viriaty of sizes so I have one that fits lol

I make mine 6-7-8 so i can stack them inside each other.

stacking is a great idea! Most of mine are 6x6, but I have a few 7x7, and one 5x5. all are equal at catching.
