I made up some pogostick anchors this year for the first time. I really liked them because they are light weight and work well in this hard clay with the rock shelves just below the surface. IF you cannot put them straight down, you can put them at an angle and they will still hold. I also was able to pull them up with a stake puller. Never had one worked up out of the ground more than about 5-6 inches by a coyote. Mine were 20" inches long. I will be using them next year for sure.

Like H, i have used pogo's, and I also use berkshire. I like them both just fine, but in softer mucky ground the pogo's can be pulled up, where as the berk. soft ground model won't come up without digging. The only other advantages the berk has over pogo's, is the shover is easily made and aquired, and there is about 1/3 of the time involved in making the stakes up. As far as a good product that holds well and will be good for you, both will serve. I think any of the disposible stakes will be good, but you won't find any much cheaper than the pogo or berkshire, unless you make home made conduit stakes, and they require alot more work time to make.

I have bean usin conduit ancors for 3 seasons too, I like them and they hold great. My only complaint is that in some soils it casn be hard to get the ancore to come off the driver, but with a little time and some cussin it can be done lol. I have to dig out almost all of them cause I cant winch them out with my quad. I am thinkin of tryin some berksures just cause of the eaze of gettin them off the driver.

Mine are about 3 inches on the long side, I cut the ends at a 45 angle.
