Arizona trip was great but been sick for last 3 days with cold and stomach problems. Any way had a chance to run across some wild life down by Tucson, the coyote . We stayed at a friends home and could here them yelping all night and in the day time got to see a few. They are very small in size compared to the one,s i see when i travel into Manitoba. The locals say that the coyote in Texas is bigger but they have no reason as to why the coyote in Arizona is so small.I think maybe the warm climate or lack of food in the desert. Just wondering if some of you guys no the reason for such a size change

Wolf, even here in Kansas, I see the differences in size across the state. I do beleive that Food sources and quantity has a lot to do with it. Coyotes around the eastern side of the state seem to run about 4-6 pounds heavier than they are out in the western part of the state. Just my opinion though.
