What keeps the pan on a dog-less trap from falling. I'am sure its something simple, but i can't picture it.

I have montana #3's and the best way I can figure it is the spring preashur of the jaws pushin up against the little tab on the back of pan, it is over centerd alittle and that holds it. I know that is a poor explanation lol. If you want I can probly get a pix tomorow if that would help.

It is as Fuzz said. The pan is basically a lever and the center of gravity is set way forward and the pressure from the jaw pulls against the pivot point of the pan. Whew, hope that helps.
