All most every trapper i know has a pair of 8 inch line's men pliers they carry on the trapline,What's your carry pliers.

9" Channel Lock pliers for me. Not cheap, but I like them.

i carry my leatherman pliers and cable cutter pliers for the wolf snares.

I neaver leave home with out a leatherman, but I also carry a pair of 6 inch master craft lineman pliers. There cheep so I am not out much when I loose them and they cut good, even 3/32 cable.

i use klins there are not cheap but they cut 4in. nails and no9. wire with no trouble

leatherman,lineman pliers and fenceing pliers. if i had to choose one ,it would be fenceing pliers

I have, i think there called cutoff pliers no good for twisting but cut 3/32 cable off with ease. bright orange rubber grips.

used to always carry linesman pliers but the last few years I've carried and been very happy with channellock brand slip joint pliers. I can cut, fasten and tighten wire, put on wammys, loosen or tighten pan bolts, then slip them for a wider grip and grip 3/8'' or 1/2'' rerod stakes or use as a tail stripper. Plus tons more. Linesman pliers won't grip wammies or rerod, so I would have to carry an additional tool.
