for fox and coyote they work awsome ifen thats what your askin. I like 1x19 5/64 cable for every thing from fox to wolf. 1/16 is great cable too but I am trin to make less difrent snares to carry on the line.

I would strongly advise you do not use snares in your area. Setting snares close to people is asking for trouble. If you could get a few miles away from the people that would be different.But from what i know of your area,don't use them.

If you dont have coyotes in your area alot of fellas catch fox in 1.5 traps, if you have coyotes to I have held plenty of coyotes in #2's even cheep dukes.

Mr.White how can i get the foxes with out snares. I don't have an answer for you,sorry But snares & foot traps for fox & coyote in your area is trouble waiting to happen.Maybe cage traps for the foxes,DPs for the coons.. Is there any other trappers you know, Any body else have any ideas.

Sorry for my responce to your question, I didnt mean to give ya bad advice, I dont know your area at all, and didnt even think of non targets. A nabor lady of mine who I trap for had a small cage trap out for weasels one time, darn thing might have bean an 8x8x24 and she ended up with a small red fox in it, how it crammed itself inthere is boyond me, the pix she showd me looked like a red fur purse with a wire handle lol.

123kid i trap on my own land,But my neighbors are against trapping & hunting and that makes it hard every season i have to go tell them iam setting traps & snares,,keep your dogs home trapping in populated area's is dangerous even on your own land if i was to catch 1 of there dogs on my own land i don't think the law could do anything about it. but there would be a lot of BS come out of it,and it would make bad friends.
