I posses 16 330 and 2 280's . I borrowed from a freind who don't trap anymore. I realy just store them because all I use is snares under the ice. We don't have many beavers if I take 12 a year that is about all the population can handle within about 30 mile radius of the house.

I had 18 belisle 330's but do to bears and one getin wrecked I am down a few, never have tryed a 280. I started usin alot of foot holds on drownin wires for beavers and have now switched to drownin rods. I realy like the rods, no more waits to pack in and out of the creeks and with alittle work they are almost invisable so I can trap right beside the road and get the beavers that would just get shot anyway, without gettin my gear stolin, plus they maintain the beaver under water and that takes care of the bear problem.

Ive got a few 280's, Im not too impressed with them. I havent counted my 330's for quite awhile, maybe 40? I had quite a few(probably over 100) but they were the trap I lost most of during the divorce and Ive bought several dozen since the big D. We never have more then 10 or so set at one time. We've started using snares more and more under the ice and if I have my way it'll be snares and footholds more and more under the ice. 330's/280's are a pain under the ice for us I think.

I agree backwooodsman. I find connies are a real pain under the ice. I feel I miss alot and when you do you have a educated beaver. With snares under the ice if yo miss one I think all you end up with is a fed beaver.

Yep I agree Oldyote. I dont think they give snares a second thought with all the twigs etc they brush aside. We take a few in 220's every year but Ive always wondered when we find them tripped and empty if we've just educated another oak eater? We're still learning the "ropes" on snares so Im no means an expert or even educated in their use.
